🔒 Your privacy matters to us. We only collect what we need to operate Home Help, and we never sell your personal data to anyone.

This Privacy Policy explains how Brilliant Elite Ltd ("we", "us", "Home Help") collects, uses, stores, and protects your personal information when you use our domestic services platform at hh.bibhq.org.

By creating an account or using Home Help, you agree to the collection and use of your information as described in this policy. This policy complies with applicable Rwandan data protection principles.

How We Use Your Data

Your personal information is used to:

  • Create and manage your Home Help account
  • Process bookings and match clients with suitable workers
  • Review job applications and connect workers with households
  • Send notifications about your bookings or applications via WhatsApp and email
  • Prevent fraud and protect platform security (login attempt tracking)
  • Improve our platform through anonymous usage analytics
  • Respond to support requests and contact form messages
  • Comply with legal obligations under Rwandan law

We will never use your data for unsolicited marketing without your explicit consent.

Section 04

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share your information only in these limited circumstances:

  • Home Help Agents: Our internal agents see your booking or application details to review and process them
  • Matched Parties: When a booking is approved, limited contact information may be shared between the client and assigned worker to facilitate the service
  • WhatsApp (Meta): We use WhatsApp links to notify you — this is subject to WhatsApp's own privacy policy
  • Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by Rwandan law or a court order
  • Business Transfer: If Brilliant Elite Ltd is acquired or merged, your data may transfer to the new owner under the same privacy protections

We do not share your data with advertising networks, data brokers, or any third party for commercial purposes.

Section 05

Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on secure servers hosted in a professional data centre. We implement the following security measures:

  • Password hashing: All passwords are hashed using bcrypt — we never store plain-text passwords
  • CSRF protection: All forms are protected against cross-site request forgery attacks
  • Login rate limiting: Accounts are temporarily locked after multiple failed login attempts
  • Sensitive file blocking: Configuration files and logs are blocked from public access
  • HTTPS: All data in transit is encrypted via SSL/TLS

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Access: Request a copy of all personal data we hold about you
  • Correction: Update or correct inaccurate information via your profile page
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your account and associated data
  • Restriction: Request that we limit how we process your data

  • Objection: Object to certain types of data processing

Section 07

Cookies & Sessions

Home Help uses the following minimal tracking technologies:

  • Session cookies: Used to keep you logged in during your visit. These are deleted when you close your browser or log out.
  • Security tokens: CSRF tokens are stored in your session to protect against attacks

We do not use advertising cookies, analytics cookies, or third-party tracking cookies. We do not use Google Analytics or Facebook Pixel on our platform.

Section 08

Children's Privacy

Home Help is not intended for use by persons under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors.

If you believe a minor has created an account on our platform, please contact us immediately at info@homehelp.rw and we will delete the account promptly.

Section 09

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or applicable laws. When we make significant changes, we will:

  • Update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page
  • Notify you via WhatsApp or email if the changes are material

We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Your continued use of Home Help after changes are published means you accept the updated policy.
